RCMP in Williams Lake were called to the Cariboo Memorial Hospital late last night after a 29 year old male resident had attended seeking treatment for a stab wound to his upper torso.
Preliminary investigation so far has indicated that the incident took place earlier in the evening in the Lac La Hache area along HWY97.
RCMP says that a 19 year old male was arrested in Williams Lake without incident and that both males involved in the stabbing were known to each other.
100 Mile House RCMP, Williams Lake RCMP and RCMP North District Regional General Investigation Section are all currently investigating the matter and are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
The victim of the incident is in hospital and is conscious although his injuries are serious in nature.
At this time investigation is still in it’s early stages.
