There was a fatal accident in the North Cariboo this morning.
Corporal Madonna Saunderson with North District RCMP goes over some of the details…
“Quesnel RCMP were called to the scene of a crash on the Nazko Highway. When police and emergency crews arrived they found that the accident has sadly claimed the life of one man. Another person was taken to hospital in serious condition.”
Saunderson says a Motorhome lost control and left the road just after 8 o’clock this morning about 40 kilometers west of Quesnel.
An investigation into what caused the accident continues but Saunderson does confirm that the road was slippery at the time.
The name of the deceased has not been released.
The Highway, closed at the time of the crash, has since been opened to single lane alternating traffic.
