The City of Williams Lake Fire Department is calling upon all those interested in a future firefighting.
Fire Chief Des Webster says the department will be accepting applications for paid-on-call firefighters at an upcoming information session.
“This year we’re looking for 4 to replace some we’ve lost.”
“People should know that we’re not giving out applications at the Fire Hall. If you’re interested in joining or applying, please come to the information session.”
Webster says the information session will take place at the Williams Lake Fire Hall on January 21st at 7 pm, and adds that interested applicants must live within the Williams Lake Fire Protection District, and be a minimum of 19 years of age.
