2017 Budget to Be Business Friendly says Nelson

Work on preparing this year’s budget continues for the City of Williams Lake.

Councillor Scott Nelson says they will be bringing forward their budget shortly.

“It’s going to be very business friendly, very proactive, and looking at obviously all of the good things news that is taking place in Williams Lake. We’re quite excited. Things are looking very positive. Very, very exciting.”

Nelson says although they are targeting a zero percent tax increase they want to make sure they have everything looked after inside the community.

“We have not wanted to do any tax increases unless we needed, so we’re still in the final throws of getting the budget to the community first of all.”
