It’s Cowboy Heritage week in the City of Williams Lake.
March 12th to 18th residents of the Lake City are encouraged to celebrate the ways that the community has been involved in working towards preserving and promoting their western heritage.
Mayor Walt Cobb shares his feelings on it’s importance.
“When you look at the history of Williams Lake it has a lot to do with cowboys and ranching and everything so I think it’s important that we acknowledge our history and of course that being a part of heritage”.
Cowboy Heritage week is also being recognized in many other communities throughout the province.
