The City of Williams Lake is holding their first Finance Committee meeting of the year tonight.
City Councillor and Chair of the Committee, Scott Nelson admits although 2014 proved to be a difficult year he is looking hopeful.
“We’re trying to look at things from an optimistic point of view. We’ve targeted to try and bring in a 0% (tax increase).”
“There’s a still a number of an unknown number of variables but I think as a new Council we wanted to have a starting point. We’ve determined to make all of our meetings public so that the public can have input as well,” Nelson says.
“We’re quite excited to move the community forward.”
The public is invited to attend the meeting which begins at 6 at the Williams Lake City Hall.
