Parks Plan Getting Closer For Quesnel

Quesnel City Council continues to work towards a parks/playground plan.

Staff provided Council with an overview of all of the Cities parks and playgrounds, including the costs associated with each site.

Quesnel has 2 city parks, 9 community parks, 10 neighbourhood parks, 3 memorials and 13 linear parks, which includes trails.

That is said to be four times more parkland per capita than the B.C. average.

Council has now asked staff to further refine the report to include detailed financial data for each park.

That information will then be used during a strategic planning session when Council will decide the future of each park.
