Police in 100 Mile House were recently called to a report of an assault at a residence on the 4000 block of Canim Hendrix Lake Road.
Corporal Brian Lamb with the 100 Mile RCMP says a female allegedly forced her way inside the home, and assaulted a female occupant inside.
“The female did receive some injuries which required some medical attention and she was taken to hospital for further treatment. The female who allegedly committed the assault and the break and enter was arrested at another residence without incident.”
Lamb added the injuries sustained by the female occupant of the home were non-life threatening. He also said that both females were known to each other and that the incident was not a random attack.
The incident still remains under investigation.
