public screening of Over 18 tonight in williams lake

A Canadian documentary that deals with the effects of pornography on children and youth will be shown this evening in Williams Lake.

Over 18 follows the true story of a boy who became addicted to pornography at the age of nine while playing on his computer in his family’s living room.

Following the film, local professionals that work with children, youth and families will hold a panel discussion to discuss the topic and answer questions.

Jordan Davis Harm Reduction Co-Ordinator for the Boys and Girls Club of Williams Lake is one of the panelists who has previewed this documentary.

‘I was really impressed with how they presented the information that it’s from a very diversified perspective, it’s not from a religious perspective, it’s not really from a secular perspective, it’s kinda embracing a lot of different ways to look at this. I do think it’s worth seeing for sure”.

Paradise Cinemas will be hosting the screening of Over 18 starting tonight at six and due to its content is restricted to youth 16 and over
