100 Mile Resident Facing Charges for Threatening Police with a Weapon

A 51-year old 100 Mile House man arrested last month with the aidĀ of a taser has now been charged under his real name.

Corporal Brian Lamb confirms that fingerprints were used to verify that 51-year old Felix Harper was in fact Benoit Lussier.

He is facing several charges in connection with an alleged confrontation with police.

They include Assaulting a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.

100 Mile House RCMP noticed Lussier, who had a warrant out for his arrest for Mischief, walking along Highway 97 near 103 Mile back on February 17.

Police attempted to arrest him but say he then ran into a wooded area.

Lucier is then accused of brandishing what appeared to be a long piece of wood with numerous metal spikes nailed through the tip of it and threatening police with it.

Lucier is due back in court on Wednesday.
