wl accessibility advisory committee planning for the future

He’s a man with a vision for the future when it comes to promoting accessibility awareness in Williams Lake.

George Atamanenko is the Chair of the Williams Lake Accessibility Advisory Committee who is working on a 3-D model of a home that could be built in the future for people with mobility challenges.

Atamanenko explains

“What we looked into was let’s look into was let’s do a sort of computer modeling of this kind of house and then also do a table top model like the architect’s usually have so people can actually see, maybe lift the roof and get this in momentum and then really  get this house built in 2018”.

The Williams Lake Accessibility Advisory Committee will be applying for a grant from the Rick Hansen Foundation to build the home and they have until the end of March to submit it.
