‘We’re so Grateful to Live in such a Great Community’ says mother of second child fighting cancer

A Williams Lake family continues a heartbreaking journey after their 6-year-old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, the same disease her older brother faced 10 years ago.

Jenn Singleton shared with us an update on Summer following a blood test Friday morning at the Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.

Jenn says she and Summer are currently living at the Ronald MacDonald house, and that her husband Gary is with them as much as he can.

She adds that the family is grateful to live such a great community as Williams Lake.

Summer was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia on January 25, 2017 and will receive at least two and a half years of chemotherapy treatment.

A Go-Fund-Me page has been set up by the family’s oldest son.
