Donna Barnett, the Minister of State for Rural Economic Development, announced today 750 thousand dollars from the BC Rural Dividend Fund.
The Cariboo will be the recipient of 60 thousand of that.
The City of Quesnel, the Quesnel and District Chamber of Commerce, the Quesnel Downtown Association and Alex Fraser Park Society received 10-grand each as did the Fraser Basin Council and the Xatsull General Partnership in Williams Lake.
“The BC Rural Dividend was developed to ensure that rural British Columbians can share in economic opportunities now and into the future. These investments will build capacity in rural communities and lay the foundation for future growth, economic certainty and opportunity for all British Columbians,” said Barnett.
