RCMP Respond to Aggravated Assault in Canim Lake

100 Mile House RCMP were called to a report of an individual that was stabbed at a residence on the 7000 block of Prosper Way in Canim Lake last night around 8:38 PM.

Corporal Brian Lamb says when they arrived they found a male with a stab wound in his upper torso.

“The injured male was conscious and was immediately treated by paramedics who were also on scene and that male was subsequently taken to 100 Mile House Hospital.”

Lamb says the victim has since been transferred to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops where he is believed to be in stable condition.

A 32 year old male was arrested at the residence and is currently being held in custody and he will appear later today for a bail hearing via teleconference.

100 Mile House RCMP are continuing to investigate but they did note both males knew each other and this was not a random attack.
