Air Quality Advisory Ends for Quesnel and Williams Lake

The Ministry of Environment in collaboration with Northern Health has ended the Air Quality Advisory issued yesterday for Quesnel and Williams Lake.

“Changing meteorological conditions have improved conditions across the region,”  the Ministry of Environment stated in a media release.

The Provincial Ambient Air Quality Objective for PM2.5 is 25 micrograms per cubic metre averaged over 24 hours.

As of January 26, 2017 at 12:00 PM (PST), 24-hour average PM2.5 concentrations for Quesnel and neighbouring communities were:

Prince George    Williams Lake      Quesnel
-18.8                    -21.8                     -21.8
