An arrest has been made in connection with two recent armed robberies in Quesnel.
RCMP, with the assistance of the Prince George Police Dog Services, apprehended a local man on Friday.
Aaron Smart, also known as Aaron Joly, appeared in court today and is facing several charges, including two counts each of Robbery, Using a Firearm in the Commission of an Offence, Using a Disguise With Intent and Uttering Threats.
He is also charged with one count of Theft.
Quesnel RCMP were called to a business on Elliott Street last Thursday (Jan 18) night after a suspect entered the store, produced a handgun and forced the lone employee to provide him with cash and cigarettes.
The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
That followed a similar robbery on Anderson Drive the previous week.
