Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes says getting trucks off of Front Street remains her number one transportation priority.
Oakes does admit however that not all stakeholders necessarily agree with her…
“There seems to be lots of attention on what the traffic patterns are in the community, i think we need to be looking at hazardous commercial traffic coming through our city as the northwest and pg and areas like that expand in the economy, all of that traffic comes through Quesnel.”
Oakes says that safety concern keeps her up at night.
She says while they don’t necessarily agree on everything, stakeholders will continue to meet and work together on making the community safer.
