NDP Announces Candidate For Cariboo North

A Quesnel City Councillor has decided to take a run at provincial politics.

Scott Elliott announced yesterday (Sunday) that he will represent the NDP in Cariboo North in the upcoming Provincial election…

“I am really excited to have this opportunity. It came upon me. I have been really working hard at city hall for the last 5 years, two terms, and i am excited with moving forward. I think there is a tremendous opportunity for our area, we need an MLA that is going to be working closely with the City to move not just the city but the whole area forward and I am excited for the opportunity.”

Elliott joins incumbent Liberal MLA Coralee Oakes in the race.

The BC Conservative Party and the Green Party have yet to unveil a candidate in Cariboo North.
