KIJHL Eyes Possible Expansion

The KIJHL will be holding a meeting tomorrow morning to discuss the possible expansion of the league.

According to the league, interest has been expressed in bringing teams to Williams Lake and Quesnel which will in turn bring up questions of team travel and expenses.

The KIJHL currently has 20 teams spread over 4 divisions and 2 conferences.

Two-thirds of the existing 20 teams must vote in favour of the expansion for teams to come to Williams Lake and Quesnel and then BC Hockey will need to approve the expansion as well.

Sundays meeting is 11am at the Sandman Inn in Castlegar.
