The first hearings for Mining Watch Canada’s charges against the BC Government and Mount Polley Mining Corporation will get underway tomorrow at Williams Lake Provincial Court.
The mining watch dog says that they will demonstrate to Court that there is enough evidence in connection with the 2014 tailings pond breach to warrant charges under the Canadian Fisheries Act.
Mining Watch Canada had filed the private prosecution in October 2016.
The hearing which is open to the public starts at 9:30.
