A vacant seat on Wells District Council will be filled on March 4th.
A by-election became necessary after longtime Councillor Richard Wright resigned in September.
Wright was serving his 4th term as he was first elected back in 2005.
Chief Administrative Officer Andrew Young has been appointed as the Chief Election Officer.
Nominations for Council will now be accepted between January 17th until 4 p.m. on the 27th.
