Total Ice helps youngster stay in the game

Stolen hockey equipment will not stop a young boy from playing this weekend in Williams Lake.

Owner of Total Ice, Tyrel Lucas says it was the right thing to do when it came to helping the youngster.

“Obviously that’s a pretty a crushing thing to have happen is a whole bag of hockey gear stolen so we keep extra stuff at Total Ice. We have lots of donated stuff and you know lots of things that we try to accumulate for things like this, or for people who need gear or need extra gear or forget gear at the rink.”

The 9 year old’s equipment, as well as his clothes were stolen according to his mother, Christina Rochelle, on social media from the back of their vehicle at the Sandman Hotel.

She says that they had arrived in the Lake City from New Hazelton extremely late, and that it had slipped their mind to bring everything in.

She says there is no surveillance of the incident.
