The Inaugural ceremony for 12 Cariboo Regional District Directors, took place this morning.
The ceremony which began with Williams Lake Indian Band Councillor, Willie Sellars, performing drumming and a traditional welcoming ceremony, proceeded with John Russell, Barrister and Solicitor, administering the Oaths of Office.
Mayor Walt Cobb of Williams Lake, Mayor Mitch Campsall of 100 Mile House, Mayor Bob Simpson of Quesnel, and Mayor Robin Sharpe District of Wells were also inaugurated as Municipal Directors.
Area G Director Al Richmond was re-elected to serve as the Chair with Area A Director Ted Armstrong as Vice-Chair following the ceremony.
