Wildfires more than double in early April

 The Cariboo Fire Centre reports that 7 wildfires have been reported in the Cariboo since April first, all of which were human caused.
Here Communications Specialist with the Cariboo Fire Centre  Emily Koch (Cook) gives a rundown of the penalties one could face if found guilty of starting a wildfire.

The Fires occurred for the most part along Highway 20 with the other spread across the Chilcotin.
The 7 fires is 4 less than the number reported at the same time last year, however while those 3 burned 25 hectares this year’s 7 have burned 20.
