Thompson Rivers University Williams Lake campus, has handed out more than 30 awards worth more than 30-thousand dollars.
The awards covered two distinct groups as explained by TRU Executive Director, Dr. Ray Sanders…” we had an awards ceremony and the ceremony is to acknowledge students that are receiving monetary awards or also for students that have economic, financial needs and we are really excited that over 30-thousand dollars were distributed.”
The awards are in addition to what the students may have received when they started their programs and the funds for the awards come from many different sources including company’s in memory of and former students and faculty.
