Another Milestone Completed for the Jobs Creation Partnership Project

Snowmobilers and others using the Gold Rush Snowmobile Trail have a new place to warm up and stay dry thanks to the New Pathways to Gold Jobs Creation Partnership project.

Don Hauka, Communications/Creative Director with New Pathways to Gold gives us a bit more info about the warming huts.

“We are putting 4 warming huts up along the trail and the first one was installed on the 25th I guess (November) a couple of weeks ago, in 83 Mile House at the access to the trail there.”

Hauka says these amenities make the trail much more attractive to everyone that uses the trail as well as tourists who may be planning to visit.

To date the JCP Project has generated nearly 7,900 person-hours of valuable skills training to the 5 EI participants in the Cariboo.

Project partners also recently announced that the JCP Project will be extended by another 12 weeks until March of 2017.
