New Quesnel Arena Taking Shape

Work is now underway on the roof of the West Fraser Centre in Quesnel.

Jeff Norburn is the Director of Community Services with the City…

“The schedule we have is completing the roof structure by mid to late December. I think 4 of the steel trusses are on now so they made good progress last week and we hope to see that continue through December and look forward to seeing the roof on the building.”

Norburn says most of the concrete is now in place, including for the second floor concourse and the bleachers.

He says the project remains on budget and on schedule, still slated to open in September of 2017.
