Quesnel Emergency services were called to a complaint of collision at the intersection of Front Street and St Laurent Avenue friday afternoon at 5:14.
An elderly man was being pushed in his wheelchair through the intersection when he was struck by a southbound vehicle causing him to fall to the ground.
The man was transported to GR Baker Memorial Hospital were he later died.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene, speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the collision.
The name of the deceased is not being disclosed at this time and the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
