Williams Lake RCMP responded to two robberies this past weekend.
On saturday night just before midnight three off duty members were alerted to a robbery and theft from a vehicle outside Boston Pizza.
Williams Lake RCMP Staff Sargeant Del Byron said the officers identify 3 males and one female of being involved in this incident.
Byron said one of the males was seen taking a chainsaw from the back of a parked pickup truck, then the four committed a robbery on a male who was walking in the area.
They took the victim’s wallet and personel effects after punching and kicking him.
The victim suffered facial injuries and had to be transported to the hospital.
Arrests were made and the matter is under investigation.
Also on saturday just after midnight a 22-year old male was approached by 2 individuals demanding all his money.
The victim showed he didn’t have any and was bear sprayed.
He then ran to 7-11 for help and was later caught and bear sprayed again by the same two individuals.
This incident is also still under investigation.
