Quesnel Benefits From Provincial Affordable Housing Funding

Good news for Quesnel when it comes to affordable housing.

As for how good we’ll have to wait.

The Provincial Government has announced 518-million dollars in funding for affordable housing in B.C.

That includes two projects for Quesnel, although the government did not release how much they would be providing.

Those details will be released this weekend by Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes.

The Quesnel Lions Housing Society is hosting a special announcement and celebration this Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the Maple Park Mall.

The Society has been working on a 30-unit affordable seniors housing project that would be located on the corner of Reid Street and McNaughton Avenue.
