Cariboo Girls Help Capitals Go Three For Three

It was a three game sweep for the Northern Capitals in the BC female Midget AAA Hockey League over the weekend in Prince George.

The Fraser Valley Rush were their victims.

The Capitals won 5-0 on Friday, 4-1 on Saturday and then 5-2 on Sunday.

Cailey Mellott from 100 Mile House paced the offence with 3 goals and 4 assists.

She now leads the league in scoring with 14 points in 12 games.

Quesnel’s Katie Young scored her first two goals of the season on Sunday and Defenceman Sarah Jarvis notched an assist on one of those goals.

The Capitals are 7 and 5 overall for 2nd place.
