Cougars On A Winning Streak

The Cariboo Cougars have now won 10 in a row in the BC Major Midget Hockey League.

The Cougars brushed aside the visiting Thompson Blazers twice on the weekend, including 11-0 on Saturday.

Williams Lake’s Colton Thomas and Chase Dubois each had a goal and 2 assists.

Griffin Outhouse, also a Williams Lake minor hockey product who is from Likely, got the shutout.

The Cougars beat the last place Blazers 5-1 on Sunday.

Quesnel’s Keith Redden scored a goal in that game and Thomas and Dubois each picked up an assist.

The Cougars are now 19-2 and 1 on the season.

Individually, Colton Thomas is now tied for 3rd in league scoring with 33 points in 21 games and Outhouse has the best goals-against average in the league at 1.80

Williams Lake RCMP arrest wanted man

RCMP arrested a wanted man who was a suspect in a violent break and enter that occurred last week. The man is being held in custody to appear before the court.
