Vehicle Check Turns Up All Sorts Of Things For 100 Mile RCMP

A 100 Mile House man is in hot water after RCMP smelled marijuana after pulling him over.

Corporal Brian Lamb says they were responding to a report of shots being fired on the 6000 block of Fawn Lake Road this past Tuesday (Nov 8) when they stopped a vehicle in the area.

He says the member smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

Lamb says a subsequent search found ziploc bags containing not only marijuana but also methamphetamine, magic mushrooms and packaging materials indicative of drug trafficking.

He says the 39 year old male was also found to be on a conditional sentence order related to a break and enter conviction from the Lower Mainland.

Lamb says RCMP are recommending charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
