Avalanche Canada will unveil an incredible backcountry rescue on it’s website tomorrow. (Nov 4)
It’s called Rescue at Cherry Bowl and it is very powerful.
Communications Director Mary Clayton explains…
“Certainly all the footage of the people involved. They are talking about, you experience through their eyes as they talk very vividly, very honestly, very emotionally about that day and about what happened to them.”
Clayton says the main message is about training as the four men who rescued three people who were buried by an avalanche of snow had just taken a companion rescue course a couple of weeks prior to this incident.
She calls it a miraculous rescue given how deep these people were buried.
The story will be available tomorrow at avalanche.ca
