A Quesnel man, charged following a serious incident involving a knife, will go to trial on March 27th of next year.

40-year old Aaron James Dunlop is facing numerous charges, including Unlawful Confinement, Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats.

They are in connection with an alleged incident in the 900 block of Anderson Drive back in September.

RCMP say they were called to a residence where they were told that a man, distraught and under the influence of drugs, was causing damage to the property inside.

Police say they were told that it was an acquaintances’ residence and that he was armed with a knife.

The area was cordoned off and extra resources were called in, including a crisis negotiator, who was able to get the man to surrender without further incident.
