Lifetime Firearms Prohibition for Anaham Man

One day in jail and a lifetime firearms prohibition.

That was the sentence handed down to a 27-year old Anaham man, who pled guilty to two of 9 charges laid against him in connection with a shooting incident in the summer.

Kyle Christopher Harry pled guilty to one count each of Possession of Firearms contrary to an order and to Breach of an undertaking or recognizance.

He was acquitted on 7 other counts.

Alexis Creek RCMP was called out to the Anaham reserve back on July 27th.

Police say an officer was threatened and then shot at.

North District General Investigators then executed a search warrant at a residence on the reserve a few days later and seized various firearms and ammunition.
