A Williams Lake elementary school had to evacuate this morning after reports of a foul odour.
The odour was eventually traced to a bulk head in the middle of the school near the air intake, that was being painted
As a precaution the school, Cataline Elementary School on Blair, did move the students outside and then the decision was made to end classes for the day as we hear from acting superintendent , Mark Wintjes ” so we went up and took a look, used our noses to determine that yeah, this was not something we wanted to expose our children to for the day, nor our staff, and made the decision to close the school for the day.”
Wintjes says the school will reopen Monday at the regular time.
