Quesnel Residents Could Have Their Vehicle Towed If They Don’t Do This

The topic of snow removal was raised at this week’s City Council meeting in Quesnel.

Tanya Turner, the Director of Development Services, went over the Snow Removal Bylaw, including what could happen to people that leave their vehicles parked on the street following a snowfall…

“It should be noted that vehicles that interfere with snowplows are subject to parking tickets and may result in the towing of those vehicles so that snow removal crews can adequately remove snow.”

Turner also noted that snowplows could damage a vehicle if they are unable to see it or manouvre around it.

She also says that crews can plow much more efficiently if they are not constantly slowing down in an effort to avoid hitting parked vehicles.
