Have your say on Mt. Polley water management

The Mount Polley Mine is applying for an amendment to it’s long-term water management plans for the mine site.
To that end, British Columbians are being invited to comment on the Mining Corporation’s plans for long-term water management.

The first public meeting is tomorrow night in Quesnel, at the Royal Canadian Legion from 7-9PM. .

Thursday, residents of Williams Lake get their chance with an open house and town hall also at the Royal Canadian Legion, again from 7-9PM.

From there the meetings move to the Horsefly Community Hall Friday, at the Big Lake Community Hall Saturday, and Sunday in Likely
Community Hall.

MPMC is applying to discharge treated mine effluent to both Quesnel Lake at a depth of 40 to 50 metres, as well as to Bootjack Lake via groundwater.
