Quesnel Man Charged In Fatal Accident Set To Go To Trial

A trial date will be set on December 5th for a Quesnel man, charged in connection with a fatal accident.

23-year old Cody Dan was ordered to stand trial following a Preliminary Inquiry late last week.

Dan is charged with Impaired Driving Causing Death, Impaired Driving, Driving while over .08 and with Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Consent.

RCMP were called to a single vehicle accident on the Nazko Highway near Long Road back in August of 2012.

Police say upon arrival they discovered a vehicle in the ditch that fully engulfed in flames.

A 17-year old passenger, Larry Laurent from Prince George, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say the driver was not seriously hurt.
