Flames from a dump truck vehicle fire lit up the town this morning in 100 Mile House.

Deputy Fire Chief of 100 Mile Fire Rescue, Brandon Bougie says the driver parked his vehicle went across the street to grab a coffee and came back to his truck engulfed in flames.

“Our first engine arrived on scene and we had it out within a couple minutes, then we just went over on overhaul and had it all wrapped up done from beginning to end within an hour.”

Bougie added that no one was injured and because of the location the vehicle was parked there was no immediate exposure to the flames.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
