MiningWatch Canada representative will be in Williams Lake tomorrow (Oct 18) morning to officially announce court action for the 2014 Mount Polley tailings pond disaster.
Local, provincial and national organizations will join MiningWatch at 10-30 outside the court house on Borland Street.
All we know at this point is that the court action is in connection with the impacts of the breach, that the group calls the largest in Canadian history.
Other groups that will be represented include Amnesty International Canada, First Nations Women Advocating for Responsible Mining and Concerned Citizens of Quesnel Lake to name just a few.
