It turns out some of Quesnel’s finest were in Kelowna during the royal visit.
RCMP Sargeant Darren Dodge says he and two other members from Quesnel were site security members.
He says he pretty much manned a walkway so the Duke and Duchess could walk between onlookers.
Dodge says he has done this sort of job during visits from government officials but he says this was by far the biggest event he’s been at.
He also says he is happy to report that the crowd was very well behaved.
