Williams Lake Teen Turns Himself Into Police

A Williams Lake man, wanted in connection with a large drug trafficking investigation in the Peace Region, has turned himself in.

19-year old Preston Norris, facing two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, turned himself on Tuesday (Sept 27) to RCMP in Burnaby.

He has since been released from custody on a promise to appear in court on October 18th in Dawson Creek.

Norris is one of three Williams Lake men among 32 alleged drug dealers who were swept up in July of 2015 in connection with an investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement of B.C.

22-year old Lashway Merritt and 25-year old Arin Charleyboy are both facing one count of trafficking a controlled substance.

RCMP say their investigation…which led to 32 arrests in total…resulted in the seizure of cocaine, fentanyl, percocets, crystal meth and GHB, also known as the date rape drug, as well as firearms.
