Christmas Hamper Campaign Begins

Quesnel Good Cheer kicks off its Christmas Hamper campaign yesterday.

Dianne Greenwood has been the Coordinator for the past 27 years.

“We will be operating Monday to Saturday from 10 to 4, and Sunday 10 to 2.”

“I got a new phone number for up there, it’s (250) 747-0065.”

Greenwood says they are located in Liquidation World in the south end of the Maple Park Mall.

She says people can help out with cash donations to pay for their large grocery bill or by dropping off non-perishable food items and/or toys.

Greenwood says they did 801 hampers last year, which was up from 780, and she says they expect even more of a demand this year.

The cutoff to register for a hamper will be around December 17th and pickup will be on the 20th and 21st.
