It quite a debut for Quesnel’s Ty Kolle in the Western Hockey League last (Sept 25) night.
Kolle, still just 16, had 3 assists and was named the third star in the Portland Winterhawks’ 7-3 win over the Tri City Americans.
Kolle played with the Cariboo Cougars in the BC Major Midget Hockey League last season.
A Quesnel minor hockey product helped the Cariboo Cougars pick up a pair of wins to start the BC Major Midget Hockey season on the weekend.
Myles Mattila had a goal and two assists in a 6-0 Cougars’ victory over the Kootenay Ice in Trail yesterday. (Sept 25)
Daine Dubois from Williams Lake also had a couple of assists and Trey Thomas, also from the Lake City, had a helper as well.
The Cougars won 8-2 on Saturday. (Sept 24)
Dubois and Thomas had an assist in that game as well.
