prescribed burning to take place north of clinton

Residents in the South Cariboo can expect to see smoke in the coming days.

Fire Information Officer Natasha Broznitsky explains why and when.

“A prescribed burn for north of Clinton is planned to take place sometime between now and October 21^st. The Village of Clinton Volunteer Fire department is conducting this controlled  burn along with the assistance of the Cariboo Fire Centre staff. Smoke may be visible north of Clinton over a course of three days when the controlled burning is underway”.

Broznitsky says the exact timing of this prescribed burn will depend on the weather and site conditions.
