RCMP Murder Investigation Underway In Quesnel

A murder investigation is underway in Quesnel after a man was found dead at a residence in West Quesnel.

RCMP were responding to a call of a male in distress at the residence yesterday.

There were two other individuals at the scene when emergency personnel arrived and RCMP say they have spoken to them.

No other details are being released at this time, including how the man died.

Police tape now surrounds a residence on Willis Street.

The Quesnel General Investigation section continues to investigate along with the North District Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Garbage truck fire gets put out quickly in Quesnel, one in hospital

A garbage truck caught on fire on Larch Avenue off Highway 97 in South Quesnel. The Quesnel Fire Chief says the driver of the truck was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation, but otherwise is okay.
