The wait is over for 100 Mile House as the Wranglers are set to play their regular season home opener tonight at the South Cariboo Rec Centre.

President of the team Tom Bachynski says there will be some pre-game festivities before tonight’s game.

“We’re throwing a tailgate party so there is going to be hot dogs, smokies, chips and pop. We are trying to get everyone in their seats as the zamboni is going around we want to do a 10 minute tribute of the playoff run last year, a video tribute, unveil our banners, introduce the new team and let her rip.”

Tonight’s opponent is the undefeated Osoyoos Coyotes who are coming off a 3-1 victory over the Kelowna Storm last night.

Puck drop for the home opener goes just after 7pm.
