Aggravated Assault in Williams Lake

Williams Lake RCMP are investigating a stabbing that occurred Tuesday night about 8PM.

Police got a call from a private residence and when they arrived discovered a 42 year old man who appeared to be suffering multiple stabb wounds.

Police do have another man from the same residence in custody after what appears to have been an altercation between the pair.

The injured man was rushed to Cariboo Memorial Hospital and then taken to Vancouver General Hospital.

He is reported to be in stable condition.

Police say there is no danger to the general, saying it appears to have been a targeted attack because of prior criminal activity involving both men.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have information or witnessed the incident to call the Williams Lake RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
